FORMER Bafana Bafana star, Kagisho Dikgacoi, has parted ways with Cardiff City.

Dikgacoi has been linked with a return to the Premier Soccer League.

Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows are the favourites to capture the defensive midfielder.

A source close to Dikgacoi said: “Celtic are closer to his hometown (Brandfort), where he has an amateur soccer club.

He also has a very good relationship with Arrows owner, Mato Madlala, after he spent many seasons at the club.”

Kaizer Chiefs boss, Bobby Motaung, has denied Amakhosi are interested in bringing Dikgacoi to Naturena.

“There’s still one position we need to fill, but it won’t be Kagisho or a big-name player,” Motaung told SunSport yesterday.

A statement from Cardiff said Dikgacoi’s contract with the club was been terminated by mutual agreement.

“The player leaves Cardiff City with immediate effect.

“We would like to thank Kagisho for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future.”

Meanwhile, Tokelo Rantie has completed his move to Turkish Super League side, Genclerbirligi.

Rantie ended a troubled three-year spell at AFC Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old South African international has joined the Turkish outfit for an undisclosed fee.

Rantie made three Premier League appearances last season, as a late substitute, and scored five goals.
