ROYAL Eagles head coach Kostadin Papic will give Masibusane Zongo another chance at the National First Division (NFD) outfit.

The Serbian coach told SunSport that the troublesome midfielder’s future at the club is in his own hands.

“His attitude was bad and that is the reason I was forced to sideline him,” Papic said.

“But he came back a different man from the festive break. I can’t really say he’s changed his ways but I like what I see.

“His attitude is acceptable now and is far better than before,” added the Serbian.

The multi-talented playmaker is known for his wayward off-the-field ill discipline.

His misdemeanors were the reason he was sacked at Platinum Stars after joining them from January in 2015 and he left in April 2016.

His bad ethics were also the reason he was shown the door at SuperSport United. After coming back from the break a “reformed” person, Papic has issued a warning directed at the 26-year-old.

“If he fails here he will only have himself to blame. I can’t really do anything if someone doesn’t want to be helped.

“But I’m willing to give him another chance. We all know how wonderful a player he is. It’s all up to him now,” said Papic.

The former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs coach confirmed that he had signed two players from his ex-club Polokwane City.

“Yes, we have signed Carlington Nyadombo and Jabulani Nene from Polokwane City.

“We’re also looking to strengthen the goalkeeping department before the transfer window closes.”

He also commented on the speculation that they were also keen on signing the former Bidvest Wits midfielder Faty Papy.

“Papy has a heart problem. Yes, we are interested in him but first we need to take him to our doctors and let them check the seriousness of his heart issue.

“We can only take a decision after that,” added Papic, who furthermore said they would be releasing some players.

He declined to mention the names of those players until he finalised things with the club’s management.
