Luke 5:2,5 and 6 (KJV) says: “And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at Thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake”.
Last week, we learnt that partnering with God guarantees supernatural breakthroughs. Luke 5, 2-6 reveals another advantage of partnering with God; that is, breaking protocol and natural laws. Simon Peter was an experienced and skilful fisherman. But one day all his methods failed and for the entire night he caught no fish. Jesus asked Peter to lend him his ship so that He could use it as a platform to preach the gospel to the people.
Jesus partnered with Peter by allowing Him to use his ship for the gospel and in turn Jesus prospered Peter’s failed business. When Simon Peter partnered with Jesus all protocol and natural circumstances were broken to advance Peter’s business.
Mark 10:27 tells us that, “And Jesus looking upon them saith, with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible”. When you partner with God, He will use His divine ability to remove inabilities and impossibilities from your life. God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
To partner with God means partnering with His abilities. I challenge you to enter into partnership with God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and saviour; offer your body to God as a living sacrifice to serve God’s business of winning souls.
Allow God to use your talents, finances, strength and natural abilities and God will in turn use His divine abilities to empower your life.
