DOUBLE HONOUR FOR SHAME!

accreditation

Isaiah 61:7 says, “Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs”. God promises double honour to comfort us for our troubles.

There is a time for affliction, setback and shame. Perhaps you are going through difficulties and testing trials. Maybe your loved ones deserted you or your best friends turned the is back on you. As you are reading this sermon you might have lost your job or be facing divorce.

Do not despair; God is promising to give you double honuor for all your shame. Don’t even think of committing suicide. I mean it, yes, don’t give up. Your comfort is on the way. 1 Samuel 1:5 says, “But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, although the Lord had closed her womb.”

God is faithful, He blessed a barren Hannah with a son who became the most prominent and successful prophet is the history of humanity. The fact that your life is barren today doesn’t mean you will die barren. Your situation can be turned around.

Keep on believing. Second Kings 2:9 states that, “And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

Dear reader, I pray that the Lord will grant you double favour and double honour for all your troubles. Zachariah 9:12 says, “Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you”. Believe in the Lord and He will bless you indeed.
