It hurts me to see people getting robbed on street corners in the Joburg CBD in broad daylight. Bystanders turn a blind eye as if nothing is happening.
If we can stand together and fight this crime as a community, we will get rid of these criminals. Every morning I witness a robbery at the corner of Bree and Delvers streets. One day, you or someone close to you might get mugged. Once I raised the alarm when a thug opened someone’s bag, but he then shocked me with an electric stick. Since then I’ve been keeping quiet, but I’m gradually dying inside as I see these muggings every day.
Good people, let’s help each other. The belief, “It’s none of my business” is not helping us and promotes crime.
