Too many South African women don’t seem to feel comfortable with themselves as they are.
There is nothing wrong when women put on weaves and apply make-up to look more beautiful.
But it’s a problem when they spend every last cent on their looks.
Black people naturally are short-haired and it boggles the mind why some women seem to feel ugly with their own hair.
We are called black people because of our natural dark skin.
But the beauty and fashion industries would have us believe women with dark skin are ugly.
This is why many women spend a fortune on products to help them lighten their complexions.
Women who are comfortable with their natural looks spend less money on beauty products.
It is disappointing to see cosmetic companies that make fake hair, nails and eyelashes growing at the expense of poor women.
Some women spend their child support grant money on fake hair.
This shows how desperate they are to be different from their natural selves.
If you are proud of who you are, beauty starts from within.
I salute the few beautiful women who still have their natural hair, nails and eyelashes. Their beauty is real.
All women are born beautiful.
You don’t need to spend so much on hiding your natural looks.
