A friend of mine told me her cousin went to see a prophet in Pretoria last week. However, church members have to pay to see the prophet. She also claimed the prophet charges R7 000 for a private prayer session.
It is strange to see pastors selling the word of God. Some people go as far as borrowing money from mashonisas to pay for healing.
Why should we pay to receive God’s blessings? This sounds like daylight robbery. These people are clearly just false prophets who want to scam our people.
The prophet in Tshwane is no different from the conmen who told their church members to drink petrol and eat snakes.
These prophets promise to heal the blind as well as women who cannot have children. Sadly, these are just empty promises.
There are many good churches out there. All you have to do is to pray to God and he will direct you to the right church.
Jesus never sold anything to the sick. Why must we pay for the word of God when it has been freely given to all of us?
Most modern churches are only after money.
If you go to the Joburg or Pretoria CBD, you will see a church on every street corner.
Most of these churches are not registered with the department of social development or the South African Council of Churches.
Our people should not believe everything they are told. They must learn to pray for themselves because God loves us all.
