ANC LEAGUES LACK DIRECTION!

accreditation

The ANC Youth and Women’s Leagues never cease to amaze me. The youth league should be encouraging young people to go to school, while the women’s league should be standing up for the development and advancement of women in our society.

But these leagues seem to be doing the opposite.

In January they did not even comment about the matric pass rate, the placement of new pupils or the textbooks that were delivered late in some of the provinces.

Young people are the future of every country and education is the key to a bright future.

Our youth mistake some of our corrupt and rich-looking elders, especially government officials, as role models.

Our women must refuse to be used as proxies to avoid being regarded as too weak for leadership positions.

There are looming mass job losses in the poultry and textile industries due to cheap imports authorised by our government, but these leagues are not doing anything to try to save the situation.

The youth and women’s leagues are proving to everyone that money is power.

What’s even worse is that the youth league is against anyone who tries to fight corruption in Mzansi.

I am not sexist, but I am not convinced that the quality we have in the women’s league can produce a woman president.
