15 000 GIRLS FELL PREGNANT!

accreditation

Being pregnant is supposed to be the happiest time of your life, but this should happen only after you have completed your studies.

A 2015 school survey estimated that about 15 000 girls fell pregnant in SA during the school year.

The education sector is working to address the high pregnancy rate in schools, but teachers are contributing to the problem.

The Department of Education has zero tolerance towards teachers who make sexual advances on girls. Parents, health workers and the community must help curb this mess. Sex education will also help prevent teenage pregnancy.
