SHE thought getting dagga to her boyfriend awaiting trial would be easy – but she was wrong!
She planned to visit him on Monday when he appeared in court on rape and murder charges.
But instead, she ended up being charged – and was sent to prison too!
The woman from Makwarela in Sibasa, Limpopo brought with her a parcel of necessities, including the dagga.
On arrival at court, she was searched and the bag of dagga was confiscated.
She was arrested on the spot and appeared at Dzanani Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Tshilisanani Ramutsheli (22) pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment without the option of a fine.
Arresting officer and Mphephu police spokeswoman Constable Olga Tshukalaha said the dagga was found while they were doing routine checks at Dzanani Magistrates Court at 10.15am.
“When we arrested the woman, she told us the parcel was intended for her boyfriend, who was appearing in court on charges of murder and rape.
“We charged her with possession of dagga.”
