HE WEARS a red suit – and always carries a lawyer’s gown and a briefcase.
Those who have met him say he boasts that he’s such a good lawyer he can make any criminal case disappear.
But once he gets your money, he vanishes without a trace!
This man is not a lawyer. He is a conman, who goes by the name of a real lawyer, Sikhumbuzo Nkosi of TMN Kgomo and Associates in Evander, near Secunda in Mpumalanga.
And the real Sikhumbuzo Nkosi is furious that his good name has been tarnished by this conman’s scams.
The real Sikhumbuzo told Daily Sun: “I only discovered the scam last week when people came to my office to demand their money back because their cases had not disappeared as they were promised.
“I also received calls from prosecutors, who said there were complaints about me taking money from people.”
Sikhumbuzo said the man uses various cellphone numbers.
“He added that when he finally saw the man’s picture on one of his various Whatsapp profiles, he remembered that the conman once came to his office and told him about people who needed legal representation in his area.
“I want people to know that I am not the one who is stealing from them,” said Sikhumbuzo.
So far three cases have been laid against the conman, and all three victims say he introduced himself as Sikhumbuzo Nkosi from TMN Kgomo attorneys.
Sergeant Sibusiso Mbuli said the police were on the conman’s trail.
