SHE was raped twice – and one of her attackers was her own brother!

Bonakele Zwane had reported her monster brother, but he died before she could get justice. Now she says she can only hope that God has a terrible punishment in store for him.

The 24-year-old from Mohlakeng extension 7 in Westonaria, Gauteng said she was first raped while she was in primary school and the man was arrested.

“I don’t know what happened with the case, but I have not seen the man since it happened,” she said.

Three years ago, she was raped by her brother when he asked her to look after his house.

“I was so traumatised because I thought he was the one person who would protect me from evil.”

She said she opened a case at the Gluckstadt Police Station in KZN. “He was arrested earlier this year, but while the case was still being investigated I heard he had died. I didn’t even shed a tear.”

She added after she was raped by her brother in KZN, she moved to Gauteng to find peace, leaving the matter in the hands of the authorities.

“I didn’t even go to his funeral.

“I want God to punish him,” she said.

Bonakele’s sister, Gugu Zwane (33) from Vryheid confirmed that her sister was indeed raped and the case was in court when they learnt the news of the passing of their brother.

Bonakele said she is an orphan and she and a younger sister were raised by their gogo.

She said she wanted to use her experiences to help other victims of rape and abuse. “I have become a motivational speaker to encourage and teach abused children.

“I’ve been to different primary schools to deliver talks,” she said.
