A bridge has collapsed on the N3 Highway, between the Geldenuys interchange and Van Buuren Road.
Multiple patients have been transported to hospital by various medical services.
However one patient is still entrapped under the bridge with unknown injuries.
Motorists have been advised to avoid travelling north as the highway is closed off.
