This year marks the 10th year of the inception of the Cape Town International Film and Market Festival and it's being celebrated with a new brand identity and for the first time, a brand ambassador.

The CTIFMF annouced Pearl Thusi as their very first brand ambassador at a stylish event held at The One and Only in Cape Town on Thursday.

"We are thrilled to introduce the indelible Ms Pearl Thusi as the face of the festival 2017! We believe that in her personal capacity, she embodies the upward trajectory that we see our festival mirroring," CTIFMF wrote in an official statement to the press.
The statement went on to call Pearl "a role model to thousands of aspiring artists."

The festival will take place from 12-21 October, 2017.

About the Cape Town International Film and Market Festival:

The CTIFMF was formerly known as the Cape Winelands International Film Festival and was established by Leon vd Merwe in 2007.

The CTIFMF offers a valuable opportunity to consolidate existing alliances between local filmmakers and our international production treaty partners, and to explore opportunities for exciting new collaborative ventures with our friends from around the world.
