After years of not making good music there were rumours that the band members might go separate ways.

The award winning House band made up of Dr.

Duda, J’Something, fixed their issues and they are ready to release a new album.

The group was formed in 2011 and they gave us hits like These Streets, Turn you on and recently Barman.

Micasa announced on a social media thread that they are a family and they have sorted the differences.

They stated on the thread that they didn’t have a smooth sailing journey; they contemplated breaking up as four months back.

The band had the great five years without any problems.

Like any other band they had problems but they fixed them and worked together.

Their new album, titled Familia, will be released on 4th August.

Nana is their first single that they will release next week Friday.

J’Something posted pictures on instagram with the caption “Honestly I am so HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I am so glad that we fought for what we love...we fought as a family and didn’t become another statistic, we didn’t break up! We launching a brand new album titled FAMILIA to celebrate this moment on the 4th of August! The best music we have ever made.”

On the public statement Micasa said “Musically on this record, we have been inspired a lot by our heritage, our culture, our countries, namely South Africa and Portugal. Before every recording session we spent an hour listening to different songs from way back, just to be inspired, to be influenced.”

J’Something said he was always worried because they never argued as a band.

“It was always just good vibes and if there were any issues we would sweep them under the carpet just to keep that good energy up.”

After they lifted off the heaviest load off their shoulder, they are now the closest they have ever been.

“If we could get through what we got through recently, we will never break up. This album is happy, you can hear the happiness. It’s a true reflection of where we at as a familia,” says Duda.
