Gospel singer's prayers answered

accreditation

GOSPEL singer Nhlakanipho Cele is grateful for all the prayers and support he has been getting in the past week.

The gospel man and I Want To Sing Gospel 2011 winner and his fiancee were involved in a terrible car accident that landed them both in ICU  last week Tuesday.

On Thursday, Nhlakanipho was discharged from the eThekweni Hospital, but his fiancee remained in a coma in intensive care.

He told Daily Sun by Gods grace his fiancé had woken up from a coma even though she is still in intensive.

“I believe that she will be okay. I will always say that a prayer from a good heart will always take you out of the darkness,” he said.

“God puts us all through trial and tribulations and all I can do is to pray and ask him to help me. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us. The hospital bills have been going up and people have been there for us. I pray that their kindness continues and that they do not stop supporting us through this time,” he said.

The accident happened on Tueday night on North Coast Road in Durban while he was driving around the area for his Asibasize project with his fiancee Duduzile Mkhize.

He told Daily Sun last week that his car went off the road and the next thing they found themselves in hospital.

Nhlakanipho’s first wife Silindile Dlela died while in hospital in 2013.

Despite being married and having a child together, the couple had to keep their relationship secret as she worked at Tox Media, the production team behind SABC2’s I Want To Sing Gospel.
