MZANSI'S top comedians will share the stage at this year’s Kings and Queens of Comedy show.
The show will take place tonight at the Sandton Convention Centre in northern Joburg, and boasts a line-up filled with comedians guaranteed to keep the audience in stitches.
Ndumiso Lindi, who last performed in the Durban edition of the show, has been roped in once again.
The comedian told SunBuzz he is excited to be part of the show.
He said: “I love sharing the stage with great comedians.
“People should expect a lot of fun and laughter.”
Ndumiso described himself as a storyteller and said the audience should look forward to hearing him speak about his experiences.
“I will be talking about my travelling experiences. I am a laid-back guy, so I take my time instead of rushing through my set.”
Ndumiso said he is looking forward to tonight’s show and especially the atmosphere backstage.
“I will enjoy myself because the atmosphere will be positive.
“My fellow comedians will keep me motivated because we always have a mini-show backstage.
“We always make fun of each other before the show starts.
“It’s our opportunity to warm up, which helps us get rid of our nerves before we step on stage.”
Ndumiso said he loves the direction being taken by local comedians, who are achieving great things on a global scale.
“The comedy industry is growing, and there are plenty of new shows that invite new talent. Many comedians now have TV shows and are making waves overseas.”
The show starts at 8pm.
Tickets are available at Computicket from R185.
