Two of South Africa’s leading personalities Bonang Matheba and David Tlale, will embark on an exclusive journey to France next week, where they will be transported to the heart of ‘The Courvoisier Paris Golden Age’ to celebrate the unique heritage of Paris as well as the historic, nearby cognac region.
To take place from September 25th – 30th, the exclusive Golden Age Tour will reveal the untold stories, innovators, style and the glamour of this remarkable era, starting in Paris and then followed by a visit to Jarnac, a small town on the banks of the Cherente River, the home of Courvoisier.
“I am thrilled with the idea of discovering this rich period in Paris’ history and to celebrate a time of innovation, extravagance and joie de vivre, from the architecture to Art Nouveau, fashion and department stores, literature, gastronomy and nightlife,” says Bonang.
Beginning in the City of Lights, David and Bonang will discover first-hand why Paris became one of the most modern cities of its time.
Their journey will take them to the world’s most renowned opera house, the Place de l’Opera and into the middle of Parisian gastronomy on Rue Royale followed by immersion into the epitome of global luxury: the Place Vendome and famed shops lined along the Champs Elysees.

I am excited as I know Bonang, the queen of style in Africa and I are going to have a fabulous experience in the capital of couture” adds David Tlale.
After Paris, the celebrated duo will travel to the home of Courvoisier in Jarnac, where they will embark on the exclusive “Expert Experience” tour, reliving highlights in the cognac’s history and giving David and Bonang an expert taste of the only cognac in the world in which all elements are controlled, from grape to glass.
