This week, Barcelona announced that one of their most senior players, Jordi Alba, will be moving on at the conclusion of the campaign. The 34-year-old, who initially had a contract at the Blaugrana until 2024, said he made the decision after discussing the matter with his loved ones in recent days.

Alba is set to leaving his boyhood side following a trophy-laden 11-year spell, with Barcelona's game against Mallorca this coming weekend set to be his last at the Camp Nou.

Like the left-back, first-team captain Sergio Busquets has also chosen to not extend his stay at the club, despite head coach Xavi Hernandez's wish for him to continue in their engine room.

Last week, meanwhile, Manchester United confirmed reports that Phil Jones will depart the Red Devils in June when his deal expires, while Brazilian winger Lucas Moura will say goodbye to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The 35-time Selecao international joined the Lilywhites from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018, and has since amassed 220 appearances across all competitions and contributed to 65 goals in the process.

Staying in the Premier League, four departures have been announced by Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, with Roberto Firmino among the list of outgoing players. The ex-Hoffenheim forward has been an integral part of the Reds' success since his arrival in 2015, having helped the side claim seven trophies across England, Europe and the world.
