Cristiano Ronaldo has now reportedly told his club Al Nassr to sign up a certain European midfielder.

Having narrowly missed out on the Saudi Pro League title last season, Al Nassr have already begun planning for the next campaign, and have been linked with several high-profile transfers in recent weeks as a result.

The club is now run by new owners the Public Investment Fund, and this is believed to have provided a boost for the side as the new investors, who also own Newcastle United, are reportedly highly likely to splash the cash on yet another big name.

With their rivals Al Ittihad having already brought in Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante's arrival believed to be imminent, Al Nassr are reported to be in hot pursuit of Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech as one of their first marquee signings of the current window.

However, it seems the Moroccan alone will not suffice for club captain Ronaldo, who has reportedly insisted that the Riyadh team sign a certain midfielder too.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portuguese superstar has urged Al Nassr to sign Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic.

The 38-year-old marksman is said to have been impressed with the Croatia international's ability during his time in Serie A with Juventus, and is reportedly convinced Brozovic can help make Al Nassr a tougher side to play against given his industry in midfield.

Aiding the potential transfer is the fact that Inter have ongoing financial issues, with reports suggesting they will likely sell a few of their more valuable stars in order to balance their books, with goalkeeper Andre Onana, midfielder Nicolo Barella and defender Denzel Dumfries being some of the names tipped for a potential sale, alongside Brozovic.

The midfielder, who won the Player of the Match award in the UEFA Nations League final against Spain on Sunday, has attracted the attention of a few other clubs as well, and was linked with FC Barcelona in the January transfer window, while it is further claimed that other teams in the Saudi Pro League are also interested in his signature.
