The Ugandan football federation at the time confirmed that the termination of his contract was by mutual agreement after he served two years in the role, overseeing 17 matches, of which eight were losses and four ended in draws, while he was victorious on only five occasions with the team.
It is said the 54-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Libya, and will replace former interim boss Salem Al-Jalali at the helm.
Micho is expected to be up and running in his new job by the next international break, with his new side set to kick off their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign against Eswatini and Cameroon on 13 and 20 November, respectively.
The tactician boasts vast experience on the African continent, having spent close to a decade in national team roles, while he also has a track record in managing at domestic level across various countries on the continent, including two spells in charge of the Buccaneers.
