After suffering another loss their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, Manchester City stars were reportedly involved in a furious bust-up.

Gabriel Martinelli's deflected shot in the 86th minute saw the Gunners walk away with all three points following a 1-0 victory at the Emirates, but not before an altercation took place directly after the match.

As both teams headed towards the changing rooms following the final whistle, Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland got into an angry bust-up with some of Arsenal's coaching staff after the fullback seemingly ignored a handshake from Gunners set-piece coach Nicolas Jover, according to the Daily Mail.

The confrontation occurred right in front of the tunnel, with the Norwegian striker said to have eventually pulled his teammate away.

Security then got involved, and reportedly escorted the City stars to their changing room area after intervening.

Interestingly, Jover is a former employee of the Citizens, having worked at the Manchester club between 2019 and 2021.

Following the skirmish, Pep Guardiola said afterwards that he knew what had taken place, but chose to remain tight-lipped about it, while Mikel Arteta claimed to have been oblivious to the squabble.

Former City fullback Micah Richards, meanwhile, gave his thoughts on what transpired.

"It looked like he was going to shake his hand, but Kyle didn't really want to," he said, as per the Daily Mail.

"We're in October, if we were in March or April I could understand the frustration, they probably don't want to go to Arsenal and lose, but it's not the end of the world."
