Teenager Lamine Yamal wrote his name in the history books after scoring in FC Barcelona's 2-2 draw with Granada on Sunday evening.

Ferran Torres, who got the winner at FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, started and was joined by Andreas Christensen and Fermin, with Ronaldo Araujo and Oriol Romeu dropping out of the line-up.

Barca were pegged back in the opening 20 seconds as a high-turnover brought a reverse pass into the path of Bryan Zaragoza, who made no mistake with a strong close-range finish.

The host extended their lead around the half-hour mark when Zaragoza beat the offside trap and turned Jules Kounde inside out to find the roof of the net and completed his brace.

Barcelona looked to get back in it minutes gone as Joao Felix pulled wide of target to get a sight off target from a tight angle, but his effort was palmed behind.

Kounde wasn’t able to continue playing due to an injury he picked up three minutes ahead of halftime and was duly taken off for Araujo.

Youngster Lamine Yamal halved the arrears right before halftime when he stepped perfectly onto a loose ball following a snap shot and tucked in to become the league’s youngest goal-scorer ever.

Barcelona, though, continued to battle against the host following the break though closed-in when Torres guided wide from a searching delivery in the area.

Barca came close again inside the closing stages and saw Araujo enter the area to fire in the side-netting after collecting a low pass from the edge of the area.

The Blaugrana were level with five minutes to play when Alejandro Balde drilled in a low ball from the left where Sergi Roberto made the slightest of contact to find the net.

Granada targeted a third goal in the 88th minute after another blind-run from Zaragoza led to a low shot, but the forward hit the post and missed a hat-trick.

Barca seemed to have grabbed the winner in stoppage time as Felix headed in at the far post from a cross-field ball, but it didn’t stand due to an offside on Torres as it finished 2-2.
