In July this year, AmaZulu confirmed wholesale changes to their technical team, however, one of their new members of staff seems to be bringing a European flair off the pitch as well.

The story

It was confirmed during the recent off-season that AmaZulu had appointed for Real Madrid assistant coach Pablo Franco Martin as their new boss on 36-month long deal. This was followed by the arrival of his assistant Aitor van den Brule, who holds a UEFA PRO license and was previously held a similar with the Equatorial Guinea national team.

Van den Brule has now drawn a bit of attention, thanks to his rather unexpected preferences in vehicles.

Although motorbikes are not entirely uncommon among footballers and coaches in the DStv Premiership, with the likes Moroka Swallows boss Steve Komphela and midfielder Andile Jali being experienced bikers.  The AmaZulu assistant seems to be a bike enthusiast of note too, as he's been seen with two completely different motorcycles.

One of them is the super powerful Kawasaki Ninja 650, a bike that is no slouch when it comes to performance and sheer speed. The Japanese company began the motorcycle's production in 2005 and experts consider it to be a superbly balanced model featuring a 650 Parallel Twin engine. The engineering refinements of newer models are believed to contribute to cleaner emissions, making the speed machine environmentally friendlier. Visually, it boasts a sporty appearance and reviews from bikers point to it's delightful practicality and affordability. It's unclear which generation Van den Brule was seen with, but its latest version is said to with worth around $8 499 (R156 425), according to Kawasaki US.

The Gas Gas TXT bike is an off-road machine that is famed for its precise and agile handling, which is ideal riding in difficult terrains like mountains and snow. With a special hydraulic clutch and brakes, top-class suspension, and controllable torque curve, the Gas Gas TXT is built for fun and pure adrenaline.

The Renault 8 Gordini was produced all the way back in the 1960s and its production was discontinued just over 10 years later to make way from the Renault 10. Released as a performance car, little of 12 000 units of the diminutive ride were made but today, it is reportedly one of the most sought-after post-World War vehicles, per Bonhams.com. As one of the best sports cars by the French automakers, car collectors are still said to scrambling to own one.

Very little can be said about the Volkswagen Beetle, as it is already famously known in all corners of earth. Its distinct silhouette makes it an unmistakable vintage car and it is a car still appreciated in the modern era.
