After Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize revealed that she was taken aback by her son Andile Mpisane asking her for a million Rand, KickOff readers shared their thoughts and their own experiences of asking for money.

What's the story?

With her reality show Kwa Mam’Mkhize coming back for a second season, the businesswoman was asked about a moment during the first instalment of the series that made her cringe.

"The moment that I've watched back and made me cringe was when Andile asked me for a million. I think we were brought up being told you can't talk about money," she said. "I am really scared to talk about money, so that's the moment that really made me cringe."

KO readers took to the comments section on Facebook to express their thoughts, and here's what they had to say:

"My mother collapsed after I borrowed R1000," says Thandile Mpahlwa.

"My son is asking for his R100 that I took and I’m telling him that I invested it and banks are closed he will get it in February when banks open.." says Zola Mzolisto Nhlangulela.

"Nice life problems," says Bongani Mgubela.

"My son asked for R20 and I had a heart attack same time," says OuSereo Rondo WaKokomeng

"I don't think there is any other useless spoilt brat in this country than Andile," says Tumelo Nkurunziza.

"Here fearing to even ask for a R100 and other kids are asking for a million, this life has no meaning anymore just flow along," says Kleophas Ntoni.

"He has a green book mos why cant he make a plan," says Selby Mushi.

"Levels, I can only ask my Mom a mere R100," says Masilo Johannes Riba.

"Some kids mmmm just like that," says Vusi Ramatlhako

"Kanti why is Sbahle Mpisane seem to be far from this Family? One can swear she is not part of it," asks Kholo Khumalo.

"They must pay nurkovic otherwise fifa will deal with them," says Jim Siphosethu Masimula.

Meanwhile, a referee was on the receiving end of a punch from a club chief that caused the entire league to be suspended indefinitely, and KickOff readers expressed what they feel should happen to the assailant.

On Monday night, chaos erupted at the end of the Turkish Super Lig match between Ankaragucu and Rizespor after the final whistle was blown, with Ankaragucu's president Faruk Koca marching on to the pitch and punching match official Halil Umut Meler in the face.

After falling to the ground, the referee was then kicked in the head by another person before being swarmed by bodies trying to protect him. Meler, with the assistance of police, eventually managed to make his way to the dressing room, but was said to have been in need of medical attention following the assault.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF), in a statement, condemned the incident, describing the attack as "inhumane" and stating that those responsible would be punished "in a severe way".

KO readers took to the comments section on Facebook to respond to the incident with some backing the offender, while others called for severe punishment.

"Ban him from football forever, charge him for assault, do whatever is necessary to leave him broke and broken. He feels entitled, thinks because he has money he can bully anyone. Nonsense!!" exclaimed Calvin Thabiso Zungu.

"Some of the referees deserve that type of treatment because they are too corrupt," says Chamela Govans.

"Ban the president for life and the referee must sue him to the last coin," says Ze Nith.

"Football is not for hooligans," says Siyabulela Mzize Mditshwa.

"I hope Rhulani didn't see this," says Sizwe Ndaba.

"I hope that MTN 8 Final referee is seeing this," says Bonga Dyrektah Ntimbane.

"With the type of referees we are having these days this will happen in many leagues," says Mwelase Junior Gp.

"The so called beautiful game," says Siyanda Gqamane.

"Club President must be arrested for assault," says Pidose Saladz Ruwe.

"Mmmm it's a shame," says Njabulo Ntombela.
