The story
Hadebe parted ways with Houston Dynamo at the end of December 2023, nearly two-and-a-half seasons at the club. During his 56 appearances for the Major League Soccer team, he also won the 2022/23 US Open Cup, which was his first trophy since leaving his Zimbabwe for Chiefs in 2017.
The centre-back does appear to be still residing in the United States, however, as he was recently spotted linking up with some of his old Houston teammates in January.

Often called ‘the land of opportunity’, the 28-year-old star has certainly made the most of the chance he has been given in the US, as he has visibly taken his life to far greater heights compared to his humble beginnings. One person who has been there during his journey is his wife and long-time lover Mitchel Matambanashe, who now goes her husband’s surname.
According to The Sunday News, the couple tied the knot back in 2020 in Bulawayo, while Hadebe was still plying his trade in Turkey for Yeni Malatyaspor. It is said that the pair met in 2012 while the two were still at the Mzilikazi High School. Their romance has birthed three beautiful children, including twins.
Now worth €2 million (R40 million, according to Transfermarkt, the Hadebe family’s life is more opulent than ever, as the couple drives the luxurious Range Rover Velar, which is worth R1 864 200, according to Land Rover South Africa’s official website.
While the player maintains a relatively low-key profile, his wife Mitchell is less shy about flaunting their amazing lifestyle. A glance at her Instagram shows that she doesn’t spare any costs when it comes to fashion, as she’s often looking incredibly stylish in her high-end clothes.
