DR Congo striker Fiston Mayele might be unpopular among some Mamelodi Sundowns supporters but what cannot be denied is that the Pyramids FC star has quite the taste when it comes to fashion. Here’s a look!

The story

Mayele has become familiar name in South Africa in recent times, as not only was he linked with a move to the DStv Premiership last year but he also made a few headlines in December when he seemingly upset a few Downs players.

The centre-forward claimed that he was denied a VISA when his side Pyramids were set to face Sundowns in the CAF Champions League group stage at Loftus Versfeld. In the second fixture between the two teams in Cairo, Mayele suggested that his team would win this time around as he would play a part in the match unlike the reverse encounter.

Unfortunately for him, Masandawana went on to win the tie, prompting Downs pair Teboho Mokoena and Bathusi Aubaas to troll the Congolese player for his earlier remarks on social media.

Nevertheless, Mayele has a number of reasons to celebrate right now as his country recently advanced to the qurterfinals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating record champions Egypt on Sunday.

With 1 million followers on Instagram, the 29-year-old is quite popular in many parts of the continent and perhaps this is why he sees the need to look super fresh every time he steps out into the limelight.

He boasts a vibrant casual style, which often comprises stunning two-piece outfits that makes for really cool parking lot pictures. Images of players looking stylish while arriving at training have become a bit of a trend for many international clubs, including FC Barcelona, Chelsea, and AC Milan.

However, this has been something many South African clubs have shown very little interest in and it's unclear weather the likes of Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, and Orlando Pirates would have have a 'fashion camera' - as its commonly called.

Therefore, credit goes out to clubs like Pyramids, who have recognised that fans appreciate a closer look at players and some behind-the-scenes moments.
