iFani beat off stiff competition from the likes of AB Crazy, Kwesta, L-Tido and Molemi in the category to walk away with his first SAMA. The award is quite a feat for a debut album which speaks volumes about the quality of the work an effort put into it.
“Everyone who bought and listened to my album said the same thing: this is the best Hip Hop album by far. This SAMA is a validation! I’m happy and thankful,” the eccentric lyricist expressed.
‘I Believes In Me’ boasts a number of hit singles such as Ewe, Shake, Milli and his latest offering, iingoma Ezimnandi that made people take notice for it’s innovative lyrical content and fresh sound.
