Oscar Junior Dlamini is a talented artist who transforms granite into portraits. His work has been described as stunning and captivating, and he's been attracting some well-known famous customers.
The artist from Katlehong carves faces into granite slabs with incredible skill and flair. He can create realistic and expressive portraits with his electric engraver, bringing out the personality of his subjects and etching these into granite tiles.

"I have been doing art for almost 20 years, and yes, I have studied it professionally," the 38-year-old Oscar says.
His goal is to make people feel something through his art, but he also knows how to make a living from his passion.
"I can do anything that will make my customers happy, whether it's tombstones or granite tile portraits. I cater to whatever they need and want from me and more importantly, I take joy in my work."
He is not only a savvy artist, but also a generous one. He donates some of his work.
"I am going to host an awesome exhibition across the country to showcase my craft before the year is out and I cannot wait for people to engage with it. Nothing is too hard for me. I just work diligently to meet my clients' expectations. Most of the time, my artworks create wonderful memories for them, and this brings me heights of joy."
He has made portraits of celebrities like DJ Tira, Zakes Bantwini and Connie Ferguson, among others who have all purchased these works from him.
"I’m working on the next major art piece for a well-known celebrity but I cannot mention them as I am still busy with it," he cryptically explains.

He is looking to the future and finding ways to keep his creativity fresh and relevant.
"There is a new art technique that I’m working on that people can expect from me before the end of this year. There is no difficult part of the art I do because I love what I do, I enjoy creating art and I’m always looking forward to something new and to share my skills with others."
He's not just talk when it comes to giving back.
"I’ve been training young up and coming artists, and they are very passionate about their craft and are willing to work hard for the future."
