Toya Delazy and wife Alisson “Ally” Chaig are ready to be parents.

Toya, real name Latoya Nontokozo Buthelezi, shared her joy on social media saying she is ready to be a mom.

“And just like that…Guide us universe, as we walk into this next chapter of our lives,” she wrote.

“Thank you for choosing us to bring forth this beautiful life force. We know it's an incredible gift and miracle.”

In a message to her wife, Toya said, “I love you my gorgeous Alisson Chaig. Doing this with you is one of the most incredible experiences. I couldn't have chosen a better soul to build umuzi kamama (my mom’s home). Here's to the part called Motherhood. Livumile. We're pregnant, I'm gonna be a mommy.”

Having dated for more than 10 years and while Toya lived between SA and the UK, they began their happily ever after journey when they got married in October 2021.

Sharing pictures from their wedding day, Toya expressed her joy.

“Ngiyathokoza mvelinqanga sekwenzekile (I thank God it has happened). Now for the celebration next year. Alisson Chaig, I choose you ngiyakuthanda ngenhlizo yam yonke (with all my heart). Also, this pic is what fam about, thank you for holding us safe loves. Ngiyathokoza.”

Ally also shared how she could not wait to start a family.

“I love you family. This is the first day of a beautiful journey that started 10 years ago.”

Toya is also the granddaughter of SA politician Mangosuthu Buthelezi. Her great-great-grandfather was Zulu king Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo, which makes her a princess.

As an artist and with royalty blood, Toya is also an activist for human rights, the rights of the LGBTQI community, and a staunch believer in preserving African culture.

“African history exists and is the most powerful thing you will ever hear. I am so privileged to know my history,” she once tweeted.

The Resurrection musician numerously encouraged people to “take back” their language and culture.

“Speak your native language to your children or watch it die within the next 20 years. Looking down on your relatives who speak your native tongue because you speak perfect English is stupid. It’s like being proud of borrowed clothes,” she said.

“Many of you are depressed because you are denied your natural self. Language is the road map of a culture. There is nothing educational about erasure. If you can’t speak your mother tongue, you have been robbed of great joy.”
