She took over as the host of one of the biggest shows on BET, Behind the Story and she is the host of the drive time show on Gagasi FM alongside DJ Warras and Clarissa Mfeka.

Radio and TV presenter Nomalanga Shozi (26) now adds mom-to-be to her list of responsibilities.

The KwaZulu-Natal born beauty showed off her pregnancy pictures. Nomalanga says she cannot wait to hold her bundle of joy in her arms.

She kept the pregnancy a secret until she felt it was the right time to share the news.

She is not yet ready to reveal whether she is expecting a baby boy or girl.

“I want the gender to be a surprise. I can’t wait to meet mini-me.”

The former Rhythm City actress never imagined one day she would be a mom but knows her baby will be as fashionable as she.

“I’ve never really seen myself as a mom. It’s always been such a foreign concept for me,” she says.

Nomalanga is looking forward to the challenges that come with motherhood and is willing to learn new lessons about herself.

“This new chapter means levelling up and becoming more than anything I’ve ever imagined myself to be. I’m looking forward to finding new meaning to my purpose and whatever I thought that was,” she adds.

When the bundle of joy arrives, Nomalanga will be taking time off from work to welcome the new member to her family.

“I’m looking forward to taking time off. I need to recover physically and mentally,” she says.

In 2018, Nomalanga was announced as the new face of BET Africa where she was also the host of a new show titled BET Breaks and she travelled to Las Vegas to cover the 2018 BET Soul Train Awards red carpet.

“It's been quite a journey with BET Africa. And all the growth is evident. I've had many highs. I think the only low was the pandemic, which was beyond our control, but in terms of the brand's commitment to me, and how much they believe in me as well as also just made me believe in myself lot more,” she told Drum in an interview.

"I want to carve my own path, bring in my own interview style. I'm a lot more conversational, I want to have a conversation that is not based on me being amazed by this human being, but to do right by the public in the sense that I must ask the questions that people are asking themselves,” she adds.
