Thandeka tells Drum just how much fun she had shooting the movie.
"Oh my goodness, it was so much fun. It was especially fun because it was nothing like I had ever done before. Some would even say it was out of character because I am usually so serious.
"My character is a friend of a slay queen and she lives vicariously through her. She advises her slay queen friend and enjoys benefits like takeaways from the dates her friend goes to."
Thandeka says the romcom was refreshing for her, and she hopes viewers will enjoy it too.
"It was great working with women I usually watch on South African TV like Enhle Mbali and Simz Ngema. This was my first time working on an international project like this and I loved it," she says.

Tumi echoes Thandeka's sentiments about having a lot of fun while making the movie.
"My character is Ntombi, a nosy house help who in her time could have been a slay queen, hahaha. She likes working for affluent people and loves showing off their wealth when they aren’t home. It’s a small role but I got to play, which makes me love the film," Tumi jokes.
