More than six decades after it was first released, Miriam Makeba’s Qongqothwane, fondly known as The Click Song, is still making people dance.
The song has made it on to Prince Charles’ playlist. The British monarch released a 13-track playlist and South Africa’s Mama Africa's song made it on to the list.
He was speaking at the Hospital Broadcasting Association, as part of a national Thank You Day for frontline workers. He says his favourite song on the playlist is Givin' Up, Givin' In by The Three Degrees. It gave him an “irresistible urge to get up and dance”.

The Prince of Wales says he has been "profoundly impressed by the dedication shown by our wonderful NHS staff and volunteers right across the country" and thanked them for their "sheer resilience and indomitable spirit in this most testing of times".
Prince Charles paid tribute to volunteers at hospital health and wellbeing radio stations for their work in keeping communities connected and patients entertained during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"At all times, hospital radio provides an invaluable service to patients, staff and families,” he says. "During current times, when we have been dealing with the effect of this dreadful pandemic, the role of hospital radio has been even more important, and I know it has been of immeasurable value in connecting people, in providing comfort and companionship, and in raising people's spirits when that is needed."
The pre-recorded special broadcast called Music & Memories with HRH the Prince of Wales was broadcast across 180 UK hospitals at the weekend.
