Ever since she was a young girl, she always wanted an audience to show off her voice or the coolest dance moves at the time.
Growing up in the same house as the late South African music powerhouse Patience Africa, she knew that one day she too would end up making music. Actress and instrumentalist Khosi Ngema made her debut in the entertainment industry as one of the cast members of Netflix sensation Blood and Water. On Friday she released her debut single titled Why, and she says she is ready to tap into her first love which is music.
“When I made the song, I was experimenting. We recorded everything in my living room in my apartment. When I was writing I just wanted to make a song that felt good, but the lyrics were speaking about coming back to self after dealing with someone emotionally unavailable. It Is about releasing things, and people that are not pouring back to you. It is very much a situationship type of song.”
