WhatsApp is back online after users were unable to send and receive messages.
The leading social media messenger which boasts about 20 billion monthly active users stopped working causing a panic worldwide.
Reuters reported that users across India, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Asia reported issues with sending and receiving texts and videos.
Meta Platforms which is the parent company for WhatsApp told Reuters that they were aware of the outage.
"We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," Meta said.
