SHE went to a wedding in her kasi on Saturday, 9 December.

And her sister said that a man who was one of the guests asked her to accompany him to buy alcohol.

But before she could leave, she told her friends that she was accompanying a man to buy alcohol and that they'd be back.

Her friends said it was the first time she met the man who was driving a bakkie.

But her sister Siphokazi Kohliso received a terrifying message an hour later after she allegedly left with the man.

Zine Kohliso (20) begged her sister to pick her up after she was kidnapped, and her abductor took her to Maboneng in Joburg.

When her sister tried to communicate further, her phone went off. Unfortunately, Zine was found hacked to death by the police that same night somewhere near Putfontein in Ekurhuleni.

Her family was unaware of this at the time and thought Zine had been taken to Maboneng after they last spoke to her.

It was only after their search that the police announced that a body had been found and was in the Springs mortuary.

Her other sister Sweetness Kohliso said they were devastated when they found their sister's body chopped up.

"We were devastated. We did not expect to identify her in that condition," Sweetness said.

Sweetness said they found her body chopped up into pieces and that they could not wash her, adding that they only wrapped her up because it was impossible.

Zine was laid to rest on Saturday, 23 December at Phumulani Cemetery in Etwatwa.

On Friday, her neighbours held a candlelight memorial service for her.

"We hope Zine gets justice and the man who was last seen with her will be arrested.

Community patroller Jacob Africa said that on the day Zine went missing, residents turned out in large numbers to search for her.

"We even protested at Etwatwa Police Station because we felt the cops were not taking the case seriously," Jacob said.

Captain Nelda Sekgobela said the police were investigating the kidnapping and murder case.
