LUCKY Motsepe needs help to stop stealing.
The 28-year-old from Tsunami in Ga-Rankuwa said his addiction has turned him into a thief, but he now wants to change his life.
He told Daily Sun that he feels like his death is near.
“I feel like if nyaope doesn't kill me, someone is going to,” he said.
Lucky said in January 2023 he broke into a factory and was caught, but he slipped on the roof of the factory and injured his leg.

“I thought I was going to die and when I survived, I knew I had to get my act together,” he said.
He said when he started getting addicted to nyaope he used to steal from his family until there was nothing to steal.
“I then stole from the shops and my neighbours just to get a fix, and that became an everyday job,” he said.
Lucky said he now cleans people’s yards to get money.
“I am done stealing people’s things because next time I will end up dead,” he said.
He said he tries to not steal but it is very tempting as he's still on the drug.
“I think the only way I will be able to stop stealing is if I stop nyaope. I’ve never been to rehab before. I stay alone and no one can take me there. If there's someone who can help me go to rehab, I'm sure I will come out a better person,” he said.
Joseph Rankuna (58), who gave Lucky a gardening job at his house, said: “I know that he is an addict and I try by all means to keep my valuable things safe. I also lock my house when he’s around because this addiction of his is like the devil.
"He doesn’t want to do bad but when the craving kicks in, he steals so that he can get a quick fix.”
