THREE Phala Phala farm suspects appeared in the Bela Bela Magistrates Court in Limpopo on Friday, 17 November.
Magistrate Predeshni Poonan postponed the case of the accused Imanuwela David (39) to 6 December, for address verification, a formal bail application, and the court to decide on the judgment.
NPA spokeswoman Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said that the state is opposing bail for Imanuwela.
She said the state didn't oppose the bail of Froliana Joseph (30) and David Joseph (27) on charges of theft, conspiracy to commit housebreaking with intent to steal, and theft, and they were granted bail, with Froliana receiving R5 000 bail and David R10 000 bail.
"Money laundering is applied to Imanuwela. We will oppose his bail on 6 December 2023," she said.
Malabi-Dzhangi said at this stage they are waiting for investigators to finalise their investigations.

The accused are facing charges of Phala Phala farmhouse breaking and theft and additional charges of money laundering.
Imanuwela was arrested on 5 November in Rustenburg and Froliana was bust on 6 November at Bela Bela, while David handed himself at Bela Bela Police Station on 9 November.
