THE OR Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park witnessed a lockdown on Tuesday, October 31.
This is after the victorious Amabhokobhoko - the four-time Rugby World Cup champion Springboks - made their grand return.
Sports fans from all walks of life braved the cold weather to welcome their heroes back home.
Fans went into a craze, screaming their lungs out when the players led by Captain Siya Kolisi entered the arrivals terminal displaying the Webb Ellis trophy.
They showed their appreciation for a job well done by the Springboks.

Station Walisele from Duduza, in Ekurhuleni, acknowledged the team's resilience, saying, "It was difficult, but they showed their character when they were under pressure and never gave up. The 'gods' of rugby were with us all the way, and we are the champions,"
Motlalepula Kwenamore from Pretoria said they made use of Gautrain's free ride to come to the airport to welcome the Springboks.
"The world champions are back at home, and it's nice to see people united. All because of our team that performed beyond to ensure they bring the trophy back home," she said.
Sibongile Gule from Sebokeng in Vaal said Mzansi joined forces to celebrate the Springbok's achievement.
She said: "This team will inspire the new generation and up-and-coming players, showing that through hard work and team spirit, all things are possible,"
