SASSA has announced that its regional (provincial) and Joburg district offices will be moving to new premises on 1 October.
The new premises' physical address is 22 Smit Street, Braamfontein, Joburg.
This move will not affect any grant payment dates.
The agency has also announced that the validity of expired Sassa/gold accounts has been extended to 31 December.
"This means that social grant recipients can continue using their expired cards for social grant payment transactions at ATMs and retailers," it said.

- Older Persons Grant - 3 October 2023
- Disability Grant - 4 October 2023
- Children's Grants - 5 October 2023.
According to Sassa, R350 SRD grant beneficiaries who are approved for the month of September will be processed from 22 – 29 September 2023. October payment will be processed from 25 – 31 October.
