Tshidiso’s mum, Lillian Ramatlo spoke to Daily Sun on the day of the anniversary and recalled how she found out her son had died.
"If my son didn't come home, he'd be at the door by 6am the following morning. But on this particular day, it was different. Even in the morning he still wasn't back home. I woke up and went to go check on someone in the hospital. While there, I saw a Facebook post saying two boys were found dead on the sports field at Diepkloof Zone 2. That’s when I started asking my sister's son about Tshidiso’s whereabouts because he hadn't come home.
