COPS are investigating a culpable homicide case following a vehicle collision on Wednesday, 23 October, on the M1 South near Athol Oakland off-ramp, Joburg.

This after five people were killed with others sustaining multiple injuries on the crash that involved a police vehicle transporting awaiting trial prisoners.

According to police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, it's alleged that a driver of a Ford Ranger bakkie lost control of the vehicle amid a road rage incident with another vehicle causing him to collide with a police vehicle transporting awaiting trial prisoners from court.
