PASTORS from different churches prayed for the African National Congress (ANC) to be out of power in the upcoming national elections.
Emanuel Christian Ministry Pastor Paul Mpobolo said that they're going to vote in the upcoming elections, and they'll carry their attitudes into the voting booth.
He said there should be peace during the process as their votes will fight corruption that has created a huge unemployment rate in the country.
Pastor Mpobolo was speaking at a prayer session on Saturday, 9 March 2024, at his church with different pastors from various churches, praying that ANC should not win the elections.
He said they decided to host a prayer session to ask God that people should vote the ANC out of power in the upcoming elections and put a new party that will lead the country and create jobs for the people.

“Awaken in us is an awareness that the same hands we lift to God in prayer are the hands that will fill out our voting ballots on 29 May 2024 as people are going to make history by voting out the governing party. We pray for a huge turnout of voters who will use wisdom in their decisions to take the ANC out and vote for candidates that will focus on the issues we face as a nation,” said Mpobolo.
Alexis Mare from the African Congress Transformation party (ACT) said his party is supporting the prayer of pastors, because now all opposition parties need God to vote the ANC out of power.
“Our votes, combined with prayers of faith, will have great power and produce wonderful results in these upcoming elections,” he said.
