POPULAR amapiano star wishes her late sister to visit her more often from the spiritual world.

Cnethemba Gonelo who is a pastor's kid and an amapiano singer, said her late sister's death still bothers her a lot.

The musician, whose real name is Sinethemba Gonelo, said as she's learning more about spirituality it hurts her more as she's never found peace since her sibling died in 2016.

The Athandwe hitmaker said her sister gave her comfort when the going got tough and when she didn't understand certain things, growing up.

"My sister died after a short illness. I was devastated. She taught me a lot about life and being a prayer warrior. Her death left void in me that's why I do music a lot," she said.

Cnethemba said as a pastors' daughter, she was lucky to learn about her spirituality at an earlier age.

She said as someone from a jazz background, this helped her to relate and release music deeply rooted in her understanding of African spirituality.

"As much as there's a lot to learn about the music industry, having finally found a way to deal with the loss of my late sister through my latest single Lindishonele gave me a sense of relief.

"In the newly released track, I'm asking my late sister, who died in 2016, if I could grab one more moment with her in a physical world," she said.

The musician said she wanted to honour and remember her.

Cnethemba said her journey in the entertainment industry hasn't been easy like in any other business because going through the developing phase is not easy.

"It's filled with uncertainties and insecurities regarding your future as an artist. Moments when people accepted my songs well inspired my journey, for instance, my singing on Athandwe, where I'm featured on Soa mattrix, Sir Trill and Kelvin Momo's latest album, Kurhula," she said.

Cnethemba said she wants to learn more in the industry.

"Having worked with the likes of Murumba Pitch, Junior Taurus, Gaba Canal, Happy Jazzman, and Frank Mabeat provided me with popular songs," she said.
