"THE days of pastors working in silos must come to an end."
These were the words of Pastor Paul Tsie of the Rhema Jehovah Jireh Ministry in Wright Park, Springs, Ekurhuleni.
Tsie was speaking at the Breaking the Babylon Barriers conference at Rhema Kingdom Advancement Gospel Church in Vosloorus on Saturday, 24 February.
Pastor Tsie said churches must work together.
"We're all pointing at Jesus Christ who is coming and also singing the same in different versions. But as pastors we don't see eye-to-eye. We're all preaching peace and harmony yet there's no harmony among ourselves," he said.
Pastor Tsie said pastors should lead by example.

"People come to church wounded emotionally and spiritually and want pastors to heal them.
"However, pastors come in and leave after preaching. We need time to listen to people's problems because they want to be healed and motivated."
He said the event was aimed at encouraging pastors to take care of their congregants.
Pastor Gugu Malaza of the Rhema Kingdom Advancement Gospel Church in Vosloorus said: "As pastors, we need to support each other and be united. We're in one kingdom and preach one gospel, therefore we need to ensure that we motivate our congregants."
Pastor Babalo Mofokeng from the Rock of Salvation Church, based in Orange Farm, South Joburg, said the gathering was powerful as it eliminated some of the stereotypes brought by pastors.
“We need to set an example. Don’t tell people come early to the church and we come late as if we're celebrities.
“We're called to serve and lead the way. There must be an order and a level of discipline among pastors,” said Mofokeng.
