THE 25-year-old man who was shot and killed on Monday, 18 September on his way to work was buried at Heatherly Cemetery in Mamelodi, Tshwane on Sunday, 24 September.
Itumeleng Mathibe was shot not far from his home in Mamelodi and his family, who are still looking for justice, said they don't know why he was brutally murdered or why the man who allegedly shot Itumeleng took pictures of him.
They said the man who shot him was driving a white double cab bakkie without number plates.
Daily Sun published the story on Thursday, 21 September with the headline: 'Why did they kill Itu?'
Itumeleng's aunt, Rosina Monareng (69), said he died a painful death and they leave the killer in God's hands.
"This is bad and we are still in pain," she said.
The family described Itumeleng as a lively person and said he was the Beyonce of the family.
Hi neighbour, Winnie Malebo Kruger, said Itumeleng was a good man.
"Itumeleng was everyone' child. He was respectful and loving," she said, adding that they continue to trust in God for answers.
His best friend, Sesi Chekane, said: "There is nothing I don't know about Itumeleng. He was the best partner. I have gone through everything with him."

His colleague, Lebogang Mawela (25), said: "He was a very close colleague at Refenfse Primary School in Mamelodi. It's no longer the same going to work and thinking that I won't see him again. I was even thinking of resigning because it is no longer the same. Itumeleng was the engine of the school."
Tshwane police spokesman Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk said a murder case was opened and being investigated.
"All information and leads are being followed up and investigated," he said.
