THE trial against a "cop killer" has been rolled over to Thursday, 2 November.

Thwala was allegedly shot five times with his service pistol at his house in Pienaar in August 2022 allegedly by Mkhonto. He was found with gunshot wounds on his head and upper body.

The gruesome discovery was made by neighbours after Thwala's mother asked them to check up on him after his phone rang unanswered.

Two cartridges were found on the floor and his vehicle, firearm and cellphone were later discovered abandoned in the bushes.

Mkhonto was arrested within 24 hours after the gruesome murder. She was found hiding in another house. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear.

Her lawyer, Advocate Ellana Erasmus asked for a postponement, stating that she did not have time to consult with her client.

She claimed that no one was available to help her at the Nelspruit Correctional Services on Tuesday, 31 October when she wanted to consult with Mkhonto. The matter was rolled over to Thursday, 2 November for plea proceedings.
