SUSPENDED Mpumalanga ANC Treasurer-General, Mandla Msibi will appeal the ANC Provincial Disciplinary Committee's (PDC) decision to suspend his membership.
On Wednesday, 10 April, the PDC found Msibi guilty of violating the party's constitution after engaging in disruptive conduct and sabotaging the ANC 8 January celebration programmes held in Mpumalanga.
His right-hand man, Sibusiso Mdluli was expelled from the party after he was found guilty of misconduct.
Two years of his sanction has been suspended, and he will only be suspended for one year. He is not supposed to commit any similar offence during his suspension period.

In a statement issued by Msibi's spokesman, Uhuru Mofokeng, Msibi said the decision was taken after thoroughly examining the judgment presented by the PDC.
"The Provincial Treasurer, Cde Mandla Msibi has decided and already initiated the process of appealing the PDC's decision to the National Disciplinary Committee.
"The process of initiating the appeal process, therefore, means no action on this matter shall be taken any further until the appeal process has been duly concluded. Therefore, according to rule 25.43 of the Constitution of the ANC, Cde Mandla Msibi is a Provincial Treasurer and a member with full rights until the appeal process is completed," he said.
The ANC leadership is yet to decide on Msibi's fate for his position as MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
