accreditation

A MAN faced his worst fear when he was raped by four men on Saturday, 13 August.

He now wants help to get justice.

The 37-year-old man from Tshepisong near Kagiso, Mogale City, said the men who raped him know him.

“While they were raping me, they kept telling me they want me to stop being gay. One of them called me by my name,” said the man.

He said the men accosted him while he was walking home from groove at about 1am.

“As I was walking, I was approached by a white BMW and I somehow knew something bad was about to happen. I started to run, but the car was right beside me. Two men came out of the car, pointed a gun at me and shoved me into the car,” he said.

The man said they took him to a bush in Tshepisong where they took turns raping him. “They kept laughing, telling me this will stop me from being gay and that I am an embarrassment to humanity,” he said.

He said they then put him in the car and dropped him off where they snatched him.

“I was so devastated. I tried to look at the number plate, but I don’t remember it,” he said.

The man immediately opened a case.

Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said a rape case was opened. However, no arrests have been made yet.
