THE family of gogo Khubani Mkhavele is seeking answers.
This after she disappeared into thin air on 22 October 2023.
It's reported that the 87-year-old, known as Nwa Joe from Chavani Village in Limpopo, lived with her daughter, about 5km away from her house.
It's been reported that she left her daughter's house to check on her own house but never returned.
According to her family, a relative visited her and upon arrival, gave her a cold drink. The relative apparently left after they drank the cold drink, telling the gogo she'd be back. But the gogo mysteriously vanished thereafter.
Cate Maluleke, the family spokeswoman, told Daily Sun they suspect foul play, given the mysterious disappearance of their gogo.

"We suspect something bad happened or perhaps she was kidnapped. If it was normal, we should have heard something about her because since her disappearance, no one has told us anything despite sharing posts on social media,” she said.
The Mkhavele family expressed a growing sense of hopelessness, wondering about gogo's whereabouts and whether she is still alive.
Two days after her disappearance, the family, along with the police, searched for her in nearby bushes but their efforts yielded no results.
Vhembe police spokesman Sergeant Vuledzani Dathi confirmed that they were actively investigating a missing persons case concerning Khubani Mkhavele.
“We urge anyone with information that could assist in reuniting her with her family to come forward. They can contact the CrimeStop number n 08600 10111, the nearest police station, or reporting through the MySAPSApp,” he said.
